There are no 'musts'
The rest of this post is about my feelings and motivations. If any of it helps or clarifies your thoughts that’s great but if it sounds wrong to you then it probably is. All I am going to do is share. You need to find your own way…and don’t list to those who say you must follow their path.
No goals, no targets
Do it without willpower - really
Looking after my health
In other words, health, family and wider social or charitable aims are great ways to motivate yourself but they need to be for you and they need to be what works for you. And again, although I raise money for the Polycystic Kidney Disease Charity I am not aiming for a particular total and I don’t measure my success by how much I raise.
Do it for yourself
I have no real answers on motivation. But don’t feel forced to follow a formula. And don’t feel you need a defined and proud reason to get out there. if you feel you want to do it, then get on with it. You can figure out the rationale later. As long as the feeling lasts then it is the right thing for you. Good luck.
